CHOIR
The choir organ (Loncke 1968) is incorporated in the baroque retable(Maurice Allaert 1965) with painting 'Descent of the Cross' by J.Ykens, style Rubens. Around the choir pryers:
S.Eligius consecrator hujus ecclesiae. S.Martinus patronus hujus ecclesiae

PODIUM+ALTAR

Brass lectern (Tournai 1480)

Altar, lectern and platform, in Belgian granite, designed by the German sculptor W. Gies, was dedicated on Nov. 28th 2004. Altar and lectern together form the liturgical centre; they are set in an ellipse, one focal point being the table of Bread and Wine, the other the table of the Word . Altar and lectern are equally important. The lighting emphasises this arrangement. The altar, one solid block of granite, seems to rest on three pillars, symbol of the Trinity. The lectern, made up of four single blocks, refers to the four Gospels.
